It appears that AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation have come to an end for the time being.
This week All Elite Wrestling didn’t air episodes of AEW Dark or AEW Dark: Elevation on its YouTube page, leading many to question the future of these shows. It sounds like we now have an answer that will surely disappoint some people.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, both shows will be ending for now. The decision is related to All Elite Wrestling’s deal for its new Saturday show, AEW Collision, which was first reported here at WrestleZone.
Zarian also reports that part of All Elite Wrestling’s new deal is that all of its shows will air exclusively on Warner Bros. Discovery platforms going forward. As of right now, that doesn’t include Ring of Honor.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) confirmed Zarian’s report and said that we should expect a “new or altered” AEW television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery at some point this month.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17.
