Sami Callihan has turned his back on The Design.
During IMPACT Rebellion, Santino Marella, Joe Hendry, and Dirty Dango battled The Design in a four-on-three handicap match. It marked Marella’s first televised match in nine years, while the bout was also meant to serve as Callihan’s final step in the process of joining The Design.
At the end, Deaner retrieved Callihan’s signature bat from under the ring and handed it to Callihan so he could finish Marella. Callihan then turned around and struck Deaner with it twice before retreating to the back to officially end his alliance with the faction.
Marella was able to use The Cobra on Deaner to score the pinfall win for his team.
