New Japan Pro-Wrestling‘s next major event, Sakura Genesis, is right around the corner, and the company has confirmed the card for the show.
NJPW Sakura Genesis will be held at Sumo Hall in Ryogoku, Japan, on April 8. Several title matches have already been announced, but now the full card is official. Among other bouts, Kazuchika Okada will defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against SANADA, and Mercedes Moné will put the IWGP Women’s Championship on the line against Hazuki and AZM.
The card is as follows:
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. SANADA
- IWGP Women’s’ Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Hazuki vs. vs AZM
- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Hiromu Takahashi (c) vs. Robbie Eagles
- IWGP Tag Team Championships: Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) (c) vs Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis)
- NJPW World TV Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Shota Umino
- Just Three Guys (DOUKI, Taichi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) vs. Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI & Shingo Takagi)
