Mickie James hopes to compete at Rebellion.
On Thursday, IMPACT Wrestling announced that Mickie James was injured and would not be able to defend her Knockouts World Championship against Jordynne Grace at Sacrifice.
During Sacrifice on Friday, James sat down with Santino Marella and Gia Miller backstage. James stated that she was not cleared to compete at Multiverse United next Friday, however she hopes she can compete at Rebellion.
As a result, Marella announced Jordynne Grace will face the winner of the Multiverse United women’s match at Rebellion for the Knockouts Championship. If James is cleared to compete by then, she will be added to the match to make it a three-way.
James was slated to defend in a four-way at Multiverse United against Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Mayu Iwatani. It remains to be seen if anyone will be added to that bout.
