Austin Theory says his win over John Cena at WrestleMania 39 is inevitable.
For the third time in his career, John Cena will challenge for the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania when he faces Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 on the first weekend of April 2023. This match is unique in that Austin Theory grew up a fan of John Cena, and John says Austin is not ready for him or this match.

After defeating Angelo Dawkins on the March 13 episode of Monday Night Raw, Theory bragged about his victory on the subsequent episode of WWE Raw Talk. He declared that his victory over John Cena was an inevitability.
“How do I feel? I mean, The Street Profits had a bunch of jokes, they did, but at the end of the show, we all see where the jokes are,” Theory tells Cathy Kelley. “It’s The Street Profits. WrestleMania isn’t a joke. No, no, no, because that match is everything. That match is the biggest match. It is the marquee match. It is the top billing. It is Austin Theory vs. John Cena. I’m doing what I said I was going to do since I was a little kid. I said I’d be in the WWE and here I am. After WrestleMania, this title is going to be right here. I’m going to be in the middle of my ring on Monday Night Raw. And you want to know why? Because that is the inevitable. Any more questions?”
