Tamina reflects on her 15-year journey through the world of professional wrestling.
WWE Superstar Tamina has enjoyed a long career in professional wrestling, something she attributes to being humble and acting like a friend to those in the locker room.
Speaking to TV Insider in a recent interview, Tamina reflected on her time in wrestling, looking back on the 15 years there. She noted that she’s been through “a lot of different dramas,” but had to learn to just be humble along the way.
“It has been a long journey. I started it 15 years ago,” said Tamina. “I have met a lot of people and been through a lot of different dramas and heartaches, and breakups in locker rooms…I learned something different from each group of women I’ve worked with, men included. I feel like what I’ve gained from it all is being grateful…It sucked a lot sometimes and I had to shut the F up and be humble and eat most of the BS that does happen but in the long run, there is that magic I am blessed and grateful because I do love what I do.”
When it comes to what she’s up to today, Tamina noted that it’s now time for other superstars to shine, and that while she might not always be at the top, she can act like a “mama bear” for those in the locker room.
“There is a time when it’s your time and a time when it’s other people’s time,” Tamina said. A lot of times people don’t get that. When you do get that and understand it, that can be so much fun. You’re not always going to be at the top…They call me a mama bear because I do care how people feel and peoples’ lives. It’s about being humble and grateful.”
