Powerhouse Hobbs: I Would Love To Be Featured More On AEW TV

Powerhouse Hobbs wants more opportunities to shine.

In the past, Hobbs has been featured on AEW TV as a member of Team Taz. Once the group broke up, he turned on his partner, Ricky Starks. The two stars feuded, and they faced off at AEW All Out 2022. Hobbs also had a high-profile match at AEW Full Gear 2022; he unsuccessfully challenged for the TNT Championship in a three-way bout that included Wardlow and Samoa Joe.

In recent months, Hobbs has infrequently competed on AEW Dynamite or Rampage, though he has been seen in brief vignettes. Hobbs wrestled on the January 27 episode of AEW Rampage; the match marked his first in-ring action on the show since September 2022.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Hobbs made it clear that he’s hungry for more opportunities to show what he can do on AEW TV. He stated that, for now, he’s showcasing his skills n AEW Dark: Elevation, and his work is speaking for itself.

“Any opportunity you get, you have to make some noise, whether its on Dark, Elevation, Dynamite, or Rampage,” Hobbs said. “Me, personally, I would love to be featured more on Dynamite and Rampage. Right now, I’m getting opportunities on Elevation, and it’s speaking for itself. The cream rises to the top.”

Hobbs also expressed his interest in facing Eddie Kingston or former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

“I like to fight. One is Jon Moxley and the other is Eddie Kingston,” he said. “Just a straight out brawl. Pull no punches, no hurricanranas, no dive outs, just fisticuffs.” (H/T Fightful)

As of this writing. Hobbs is not advertised for the February 22 episode of AEW Dynamite. He last competed on AEW programming on the February 20 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
