Big Kon Signs Multi-Year Deal With IMPACT Wrestling

Big Kon, formerly known as Konnor in WWE, has signed with IMPACT Wrestling.

Zack Heydorn of the Pro Wrestling Torch first reported that Kon inked a multi-year contract, and IMPACT subsequently confirmed the news, but the terms were not disclosed. Kon made his IMPACT debut on the February 10 episode of IMPACT Wrestling in 2022. There, Josh Alexander beat him in a singles match.

Kon made his return on the November 3 episode of IMPACT Wrestling and joined The Design, a stable that included Eric Young and Deaner at the time. Kon joined the stable along with Alan Angels a few weeks before Young was “stabbed” and Deaner took over as the leader.

In an interview with Heydorn, Kon noted that Tommy Dreamer helped him get the opportunity with IMPACT. He also noted that working with the company has helped him find his passion again.

“I have known him my entire career, just about, and he was such a big part of my success,” Kon said  “Impact Wrestling has rejuvenated me,” Kon said. “It helped me find that passion again.”

Kon, formerly known as Konnor in WWE, has a noteworthy NXT run, as he and Viktor, collectively known as The Ascension, won the NXT Tag Team Championship together. They were called up to the main roster in 2014, but they didn’t enjoy the same amount of success. WWE released Konnor and Viktor in 2019. Aide from his work in IMPACT, Kon has competed on the independent scene.
