Major League Wrestling is coming off an eventful Fightland 2022 show, and plenty of news has emerged in the aftermath.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that MLW has landed a sponsorship deal with BetOnline, an online sports betting platform, and the agreement will be announced soon. Additionally, Cesar Duran, formerly known as Dario Cueto, is set to have a new on-screen role in the near future. He is currently the proprietor of MLW Azteca, and he also serves as the company’s on-screen matchmaker. As Cueto, he previously rose to prominence in his role as the owner and promoter of Lucha Underground.
Ross Sapp also noted that the company plans to have more crossover with Dragon Gate in the future. Stars from the latter promotion have been competing for MLW recently; Shun Skywalker won the MLW World Middleweight Championship at MLW Super Series and defended the gold at Fightland.
In another report, Ross Sapp cited sources who noted that he company has big plans for Alex Kane. These sources indicated that Kane, who has already had a run with the National Openweight Championship, is set for a major push into the next year after he impressed the company up to this point.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
