El Hijo del Vikingo is finally coming to the United States.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that Vikingo has secured a work visa that will enable him to work shows in the country. Barrasso interviewed the reigning AAA Mega Champion, who commented on the news by thanking AAA, Masked Republic, and his fans. He noted that coming to a new country is a major responsibility, and he’s prepared to rise to the challenge.
“I first need to thank my home, AAA, and my friends from Masked Republic for making my dream of traveling to the United States possible,” Vikingo said through a translator. “I know it is a great responsibility to head to a new country. It is a responsibility I will live up to and surpass. I want to thank all my fans for their unconditional support. I assure you that I will raise the name Cuautlancingo, Puebla and AAA throughout the world.”
In the past, Vikingo has worked for IMPACT Wrestling and MLW at tapings that were held in Mexico, but he has not competed in the Unite States.
Vikingo is advertised AAA’s return to the United States in December; the promotion will hold an event at the Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona, on December 3. Game Changer Wrestling stars recently attacked Vikingo after his victory over Rey Fenix at Triplemania XXX: Mexico City, seemingly planting the seeds for the AAA Mega Champion to compete there.
