Shawn Spears made a hometown appearance on AEW Dynamite.
After Samoa Joe and Wardlow defeated QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto on Dynamite, Prince Nana, Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Linoa appeared. They cut promos on WarJoe and mentioned FTR, which prompted FTR to interrupt.
FTR noted that since WarJoe competed tonight, they’d need to find a partner to take on Cage, Kaun, and Linoa on Friday’s Rampage. They welcomed out their former Pinnacle partner Shawn Spears, who received a big hometown pop. Spears was referred to as a “Perfect 10”, a nod to his WWE gimmick. He has been out of action since losing to Wardlow in a Steel Cage match on the May 25 edition of Dynamite.
FTR and Spears will team up for the first time since September 2021 to take on Cage, Kaun, and Linoa this Friday.
