All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded episode of AEW Dynamite on September 28.
Jon Moxley faced Juice Robinson in an AEW World Championship Eliminator match. Plus, Chris Jericho defended the ROH World Championship against Bandido. Additionally, Toni Storm put the AEW Interim Women’s World Championship on the line against Serena Deeb. Also, Saraya and MJF spoke on the show.

In-Ring Segment: Chris Jericho’s Championship Celebration
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society come to the ring. Luigi Primo is in the ring, spinning a pizza. Angelo Parker tells the AEW Galaxy to acknowledge them. He insults the fans and tells them to stand up for Jericho. Matt Menard asks Primo what kind of pizza he made, and he says he brought some NY-style pizza. Menard says none of the fans get pizza. Anna J.A.S. calls Jericho the greatest ROH World Champion of all time. Jericho says the fans can’t have pizza, but they can have the most important ROH World Champion in history. Jericho says he’s the most-viewed ROH World Champion because more people have seen him in one week than any ROH Champion before. He says no one knew about ROH before, but he’ll change the way ROH is remembered.

Jericho says Daniel Garcia is a great sports entertainer, and he got him a gift. Garcia opens it, and it’s a bucket hat. Jericho puts it on Garcia, who doesn’t look happy at all. Garcia takes it off, drops it, and attacks Primo. Garcia says he’s had enough because this is never what he wanted. He starts to say more, but Jericho cuts him off and think about this. He says Garcia is facing a crossroads because if he makes the wrong choice, Jericho will have to take him out. Jericho asks him whether he’s a sports entertainer or a pro wrestler. Bryan Danielson interrupts and says it seems like Jericho is telling Garcia what he thinks he should be. Danielson tells Garcia he respects him, and he can do what he wants. He invites him to join the Blackpool Combat Club. Jericho tells Danielson to shut up, saying that Garcia belongs to him. Garcia gets in his face and says he doesn’t belong to him. Garcia wonders whether throwing pizza on the ground would be entertaining. He wonders if he’d be entertaining if he teamed up with Danielson. Garcia says it would be entertaining if he and Danielson teamed up to face Jericho and Sammy Guevara. Menard says he’s sick of Garcia’s crap, and he should punch Danielson right now. Danielson responds by saying that he could have a match with anyone who wants to fight him. He suggests having a match with Menard.
Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Menard
Danielson takes the fight to Menard with some uppercuts. Menard brings it right back, showing that he’s not afraid of Danielson. He shoves “The American Dragon” off the top rope, sending him crashing to the floor. Menard slams Danielson into the barricade a few times. He continues to control the action. Danielson rallies, but Menard gains the upper hand again. Danielson fires up with a series of strikes and gains the upper hand. He kicks Menard in the corner. Angelo Parker pulls Menard out of the ring. He helps his partner evade a diving knee from Danielson. Parker drops Danielson with a DDT. Menard takes control again, and Claudio Castagnoli charges to the ring. He blasts Parker with an uppercut and carries him over his shoulder, all the way to the back. Danielson hits the running knee and makes him tap out to the LeBell Lock.

A video package recaps Jon Moxley’s title win and hypes up his match with Juice Robinson. Another video package recaps MJF’s confrontation with Wheeler Yuta.
Yuta comes to the ring and says he has a serious problem with MJF. He says he has been hit harder by better men. He says his problem is that MJF put his hands on Tony Schaivone, someone who has done more for AEW than MJF ever will. Yuta says he wants to face MJF in his own hometown of Philadelphia. He notes that MJF likes to hide and says that MJF can’t hang with him in the ring. Yuta makes it clear that he wants to give MJF the ass-kicking he deserves. MJF, wearing a Mets jersey, comes to the stage. He says people live in Philly if they can’t afford to live in New York. He turns his attention to Schiavone and calls him fat. MJF gives Yuta credit, saying he’s not a coward. He notes that he has wrestled Yuta all over America and says he’s one of the best wrestlers in the world. MJF says Yuta made a mistake when he tried to go toe-to-toe with “daddy” on the microphone, so “daddy” had to spank him.

MJF calls himself the biggest draw in the company and says Yuta has as much charisma as Joe Frazier has today, and Joe Frazier is dead. MJF says the Phillies are dead in the water, and they’ll never win a World Series again. He says he doesn’t have to care what he does because he’s a multi-millionaire. Yuta cuts him off and says he doesn’t care, he just wants to leave MJF in a “pool of blood” on Wall Street. MJF says he doesn’t do brawls, but he does wrestle. He says he’ll see Yuta in the ring next week, but for now, he’s going to go to the skybox and watch Moxley’s match. He teases cashing in his chip on the champion.
In a promo, Jay Lethal vows to outclass Darby Allin next week. Allin says he needs to remind himself what he’s capable of. Lethal says he knows he can beat Allin by himself, and he asks Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh to let him do that.
AEW World Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson
Robinson attacks Moxley during his entrance and takes control early on. Moxley fires up and clotheslines Robinson out of the ring. He slams Juice into a table at ringside. Back in the ring, the two men trade blows. Robinson bites Moxley and clotheslines him in the corner. Moxley drills him with a lariat. Robinson counters the Death Rider, sending both men through the ropes. Robinson hits a cannonball against the security barricade. Moxley is bleeding profusely, and Robinson maintains the advantage. He headbutts the wound on Moxley’s head. Robinson goes for a senton, but Moxley moves, so Juice lands hard on a chair. Moxley dives onto Robinson through the ropes. The two competitors clothesline each other. Moxley traps Robinson in an ankle lock. He escapes and gouges Moxley’s eye before he powerbombs the champion.
Moxley goes for the Death Rider, and Robinson counters into the Pulp Friction for a two count. Moxley drills Robinson with a knee to the face. He stomps on Juice and makes him tap out to an arm-bar.

Hangman Page confronts Moxley after the match and gets in his face. He gets ready to throw down, but MJF (speaking from the skybox) cuts them off. MJF says they’re fighting to lose to him and teases cashing in his chip after their match. Yuta sneaks up on MJF and attacks him. He beats up MJF in the skybox. Yuta fights the security detail as they struggle to restrain him.

In-Ring Segment: Saraya
Saraya comes to the ring and says she has chills. She says she’s back, and it feels fantastic to be back in the ring. Saraya says she’s damaged, but she’s not broken. She vows to create change in this division because she is the revolution. She admits that she’s nervous but says AEW is her house. Saraya says she’ll leave the ring when she’s ready. She calls the women’s division to come to the sage, and she’s answered by Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue, and Madison Rayne.

Saraya hypes up Storm and calls her the best fighting champion AEW has seen. She says she’s honored to be in the ring with Toni. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Penelope Ford, and Rebel interrupt. Baker says that AEW has seen plenty of new toys come and go. She says she’s the face of the division, as she put her blood, sweat, and tears in her division. Baker notes that she put her neck on the line, and unlike Saraya, hers is strong enough to handle it. Baker notes that people don’t even know how to say Saraya’s name. Saraya says Baker’s name rhymes with s—. Baker says she respects Saraya, but she says she’s the victim of a conspiracy. Baker hypes up Serena Deeb while fans chant for Jamie Hayter. Baker says Hayter will get her shot after Deeb.
Lumberjack Match for the AEW Interim Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Serena Deeb
Saraya joins the broadcast team for the match. Storm and Deeb feel each other out with some technical holds. Storm drills Deeb with a kick to the face and chops her in the corner. Deeb fires back with chops of her own. Storm winds up on the outside, and she gets attacked by the lumberjacks. Deeb takes control and grounds her. Storm rallies and gains the upper hand. She hits a diving crossbody for a two count. Deeb dodges the running hip attack and gets a two count with a pin attempt. Deeb wrenches Storm in a submission hold and transitions to a neck crank. Storm escapes, but Hayter trips her up. Nightingale brawls with Hayter and chases her to the back. Deeb rolls through another crossbody and locks in a single-leg crab. Storm escapes and drills Deeb with a piledriver for a two count. Storm scores the win with an avalanche piledriver,

ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido
The two opponents feel each other out early on. Bandido showcases his athleticism. Jericho slams him into the steel steps. In the ring, Jericho grounds Bandido, but the challenger rallies. He presses Jericho over his head and slams him to the mat. Bandido catches Jericho with a kick in mid-air and drops him with a stalling vertical suplex. Bandido gets a two count with a frog splash. Jericho takes control again. Both men are down after they go crashing to the floor. Jericho catches Bandido with a Codebreaker. Bandido nails a sunset flip powerbomb for a two count. Jericho gets a two count with a Lionsault. Bandido hits a Crucifix-Bomb for a two count. Jericho locks Bandido in the Walls of Jericho, but the challenger reaches the ropes. The champion suplexes his opponent and climbs to the top rope. Bandido meets him there and hits the moonsault fallaway slam. Bandido drills Jericho with the X-Knee and hits the 21-Plex for a near fall.
Jericho pokes Bandido in the eye and messes with his mask. Bandido gets a two count on a pin attempt. Jericho locks in the Liontamer, and Bandido taps out.

Jericho says he’s going to desecrate the ROH legacy and beat all of the company’s great champions, including Bryan Danielson. Jericho then drops ROH announcer Bobby Cruise with a Judas Effect.

After the bell, Jericho challenges Bryan Danielson to an ROH World Championship match on the October 12 episode of AEW Dynamite in Toronto, saying that he intends to beat every great ROH World Champion, and Danielson is next. He then nailed ROH announcer Bobby Cruise with a Judas Effect.
