Erik is apparently sidelined.
On the September 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, the New Day faced Imperium, the Brawling Brutes, and Hit Row in a Number One Contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Prior to the bout, Michael Cole stated that Erik of the Viking Raiders is currently dealing with a foot injury, which is why the Viking Raiders were not in the match. Cole noted that Erik will be out indefinitely. The exact diagnosis was unclear.
He last wrestled on the August 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, where the Viking Raiders beat the New Day in a Viking Rules match.
