All Elite Wrestling will deliver an action-packed episode of AEW Rampage on September 16.
Tonight’s episode sees Samoa Joe facing off against Josh Woods, where the reigning ROH World TV Champion will look to continue his reign as the ROH World Television Champion. Elsewhere in the night, Ethan Page will look to pick up his first win after being revealed as a member of The Firm as he takes on Danhausen, and Matt Hardy will face off against Darby Allin in a singles match.
The results are as follows:
Match 1: Darby Allin def. Matt Hardy via pinfall
Things came to an end in the opening match after Darby countered a last-second Twist of Fate attempt into a backslide that nearly won him the match. Afterwards, Hardy hit a powerbomb on Allin before missing a moonsault, which gave Allin the chance to hit the Last Supper for the win.
After the match, Brody King and Julia Hart appeared in the ring after the lights went out, with King taking out Hardy before challenging Darby and Sting to a No Disqualification match at Grand Slam against the House of Black.
