Report: AEW All Out Backstage Altercation Results In Suspensions, Third Party Investigation Being Conducted

The backstage incident that transpired at AEW All Out will result in suspensions for everyone involved.

According to a new report from Sports Illustrated‘s Justin Barrasso, All Elite Wrestling is issuing suspensions for everyone involved in the backstage incident after CM Punk’s media scrum on Sunday night. Barrasso noted that those getting suspensions include Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks’ Matt and Nick Jackson, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler.

It was also noted that CM Punk and Ace Steel will either be among the group getting suspended, or they possibly could be terminated by the end of the day on Wednesday. CM Punk reportedly met with Tony Khan on Tuesday to discuss the incident, but AEW has not publicly commented on the incident as of press time.

In addition to the penalties facing the aforementioned talent, Barrasso also reports that an external third-party investigation will be conducted to determine what transpired on Sunday night.

After winning the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley, CM Punk took part in a post-show media scrum and ultimately took aim at Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and Omega and the Bucks (referred to as “the EVPs” only). Punk voiced his frustrations over rumors about his relationship with Cabana, as well as the others’ alleged role in leaking information to the media and Page “going into business for himself” during a promo in May.

Following the scrum, it’s been reported that a fight took place involving Punk, Ace Steel, Omega and the Bucks, but it’s still unclear as to who started it.
