Nikkita Lyons dismissed a rumor about why she missed SmackDown last week and says she hopes to one day explain what actually kept her off of television.
Nikkita Lyons was scheduled to make her SmackDown in-ring debut on August 19 but she was pulled from the match hours before the show went live. According to Shawn Michaels, Lyons was unable to compete because she was “medically unavailable” for the match.
Rumors about Lyons’ status materialized after the announcement, including speculation that she could not travel to Canada for the event due to her being unvaccinated. Lyons has since responded to one comment about her status and said that the COVID-19 vaccine has nothing to do with her missing television.
“Yes, it didn’t have anything to do with the vaccine,” Nikkita Lyons stated. “One day I may do a live on ig or something and share. I hope you have a blessed night.”
Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark were replaced in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament by Toxic Attraction’s Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin.

According to a report from F4WOnline.com, Zoey Stark suffered a concussion during her match on NXT 2.0 on August 16 and wasn’t cleared to compete. It was noted by F4W that besides the injury to Stark, Lyons’ vaccination status was a concern as she would not have been allowed to travel into Canada due to being unvaccinated.
Nikkita Lyons last competed on the August 9 episode of NXT 2.0, picking up a win over Kiana James.
