Ronda Rousey opened tonight’s episode of SmackDown in shocking fashion, as she appeared at tonight’s show only to end up being arrested and dragged off.
Rousey — who is still serving a suspension for her actions at WWE SummerSlam — arrived unprompted during tonight’s show, and took to the microphone. In the ring, Rousey said that she had paid her fine “and then some,” and that she would not be leaving the ring until she was officially reinstated to the WWE. This caused Adam Pearce to come out with a handful of security guards, and tell her that he can’t reinstate her because he doesn’t have that ability.
A clearly angry Rousey told Pearce to not make her “choose violence,” and that was enough to have Pearce send the guards down to go get Rousey. In the ring, Rousey shrugged off a handful of guards before getting one of them locked into the armbar. After some more scuffling and Pearce begging her to relax, he eventually called down two police officers, who arrested Rousey and took her out of the arena in a black SUV.
