Mark Andrews has been released by WWE.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting Mark Andrews has been released by WWE. Andrews was part of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament in 2017 and worked with the company on a regular basis since 2018. He is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion with Flash Morgan Webster, who was also released on Thursday.
Andrews’ last match was a loss (with Wild Boar) to NXT UK Tag Team Champions Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs on the July 28 episode of NXT UK. Prior to joining WWE, Mark Andrews was best known for his work with PROGRESS and IMPACT Wrestling.
Update: Andrews has since confirmed his release, posting the following:
“After six great years with WWE, my time with the company has now come to an end,” Andrews wrote. “Excited to see what’s next.”
