Konosuke Takeshita wants to wrestle more in AEW, and he isn’t interested in working for WWE.
Takeshita recently completed an excursion in which he competed all over the United States. He faced stars like Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley, and Hangman Page on AEW TV and, in doing so, introduced himself to a larger audience.
In an interview with Cultaholic, Takeshita stated that WWE isn’t on his mind regarding goals for the future. Instead, he wants to return to AEW, and he’s hopeful that he’ll be back soon.
“To be honest, now I’m not interested in WWE,” Takeshita said. “My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October. Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It’s possible.”
Following the conclusion of his excursion, Takeshita competed for PROGRESS Wrestling at the “The Deadly Viper Tour” events. He is set to return to Japan for DDT for its Wrestle Peter Pan show on August 20.
