Jordynne Grace has been part of the wrestling industry for 12 years, and she doesn’t intend on stepping away anytime soon.
IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace recently sat down with Jim Alexander of ReelTalker to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about how much longer she plans on being a professional wrestler, Grace said she thinks she’ll always be involved in the industry in some sense, whether she’s wrestling in the ring or not.
“I’ve been wrestling for 12 years now since I was 14. I don’t know what I would do at this point without wrestling,” Jordynne Grace admitted. “I think I will always be involved in it in some sense. I’d love to be a behind-the-scenes person, an agent, a producer, or a coach. I’ll probably always be involved in it somehow because that’s all I know how to do at this point. Now wrestling, maybe another nine or ten years. I feel like 35 is a sweet spot where things can start to go downhill.”
In recent years a lot of mainstream athletes have decided to make the leap into professional wrestling. Grace says she has two opinions on this but can see it from both sides of the coin.
“I really have two opinions on this,” Jordynne Grace began. “I have a business opinion; it’s great for wrestling. Cross promotion and drawing a (new) audience in. As a wrestler who kinda wants to gatekeep the wrestling business. I love when wrestlers are fans as a kid, and they grow up, and they go to training, and that’s all they ever do. I love that dynamic of a wrestler. When I see an athlete come from a different sport and get elevated immediately, I’m like; you didn’t work for that. I love a wrestler’s wrestler story. Where they have to go through training, go on the road, finally get signed. But that’s my personal opinion. I can definitely see it on both sides of the coin.”
