The saga of Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho continues.
The July 27 edition of AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley successfully defend the AEW Interim World Championship against RUSH in the opening match. After, Chris Jericho and members of the Jericho Appreciation Society came out to the stage for promos to set up Moxley’s next defense.
During the exchange, Moxley told Jericho that he doesn’t want “the gimmicked Jericho.” Instead, he wants the “Lionheart” on August 10 in Minneapolis for AEW Dynamite: Quake By The Lake.
Not only will the match be an extension of the Jericho Appreciation Society/Blackpool Combat Club feud, but their clash harkens back to one of AEW’s very first rivalries that culminated in Jon Moxley dethroning Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.
