Britt Baker hopes to see Adam Cole back in the ring soon just like everyone else.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda’s Riju Dasgupta, Britt Baker reflected on her Owen Hart Foundation Tournament win and said it’s still surreal to think about.
“It’s still so surreal. To be part of the tournament in general was, ‘Wow, we get to do that? AEW gets to do that and I get to be part of it?’ It still doesn’t seem real to me because it was such an important part of wrestling history that was put on pause for a second, essentially. Now fast-forward, we’re going to have this tournament every year and to be the first one, it is very special. I hope we do his name and his legacy proud and we continue to.”
Dasgupta noted that the men’s tournament winner (and Baker’s boyfriend) Adam Cole has been out of action due to injury, and asked if there was any update on when he might return to the ring.
“He’s definitely recovering and healing, so I hope just like everybody else, that we see him back in a wrestling ring soon,” Baker stated. “But he definitely has to take some time to recover.”
Thank you so much for all the love, support, and kindness. It means the world. ?

According to a recent report from F4WOnline.com‘s Dave Meltzer, Adam Cole is doing physical therapy to fix a torn labrum instead of having surgery. Cole has not wrestled since Forbidden Door on June 26 due to a concussion, but he was also working through a shoulder injury for several months.
Meltzer reported that Cole’s timeframe to return is based on his recovery from the concussion and not the shoulder injury. It was also noted that Cole is “faring better” in regard to the concussion.
