All Elite Wrestling continues to work with other promotions, and the company is reportedly in talks for a new collaboration.
On June 26, AEW held the Forbidden Door pay-per-view with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Some fans hoped to see Stardom get involved in the show in some capacity, but travel issues prevented the company’s participation.
In the newest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW and Stardom have had communication, and while nothing has been finalized, he noted that “we’re told to expect something.” According to Meltzer, Stardom is interesting in bringing some AEW wrestlers over. He named Toni Storm as a specific example, as she previously worked with the promotion and expressed her interest in returning.
Bushiroad owns both Stardom and NJPW, which is why fans assumed that the promotion would be involved with AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
