Ortiz had to shave his head as a result of losing the Hair vs. Hair match to Chris Jericho, but the finish was not without controversy as Sammy Guevara made his presence felt.
It appeared that Chris Jericho got a shocking assist from Fuego Del Sol towards the end of the match, as the masked luchador hit Ortiz in the head with a bat. Jericho took advantage and made the cover, but “Fuego” took off his mask to reveal that he was actually Sammy Guevara in disguise.
As a result of the match, Ortiz was forced to shave his head. Ortiz did the honors himself, screaming “Blood & Guts” into the mic that Eddie Kingston was holding for him.
Guevara reunited with Jericho (and Hager) after walking out on the Inner Circle in February. Making good on his promise, Chris Jericho is now 3-0 in hair vs. hair matches in his career.
