Seth Rollins Disputes Booker T Saying He Had An Easy Route To The Top: ‘That Narrative Is False’

Seth Rollins says he’s worked a lot harder than some people are willing to give him credit for.

This week’s episode of RAW Talk featured a dialogue about the ongoing Seth Rollins versus Cody Rhodes feud, and Booker T was asked who needs the win at Hell In A Cell more. Booker explained that Rollins needs the win, then said that Cody Rhodes had to fight for everything he has while Rollins made it to the top with relative ease.

“Of course Seth Rollins needs this win more. I mean, Cody Rhodes is 2-0 heading into the rubber match and I must say, Cody Rhodes is not one of those guys that had that easy route. He had to work for everything. Seth Rollins is a guy that made it to the top relatively easy, but I must say, he had a lot of help,” Booker said. “Cody had to break himself down and rebuild himself and that’s the Cody Rhodes we see today.”

Seth Rollins has since responded to these remarks, posting the following response on his Twitter account:

“This narrative is false. I started wrestling at 18 years old in back rooms of bars, in pole barns, at UAW Halls, the occasional parking lot. Lost money. Broke bones. Drove countless hours alone just to build a name that got erased the second I walked in the WWE door,” Rollins wrote.

Prior to his arrival in WWE in 2010, Seth Rollins worked as Tyler Black on the independent scene and had his most notable run in Ring Of Honor. As Tyler Black, he held the ROH World Championship once, had two reigns as ROH World Tag Team Champions with Jimmy Jacobs, and he also won the 2009 ROH Survival of the Fittest tournament.
