JBL believes Theory is on the right path.
Theory and JBL were guests on WWE’s The Bump this week, and JBL was asked if he had any words of wisdom to share with the current WWE United States Champion. JBL said that he sees a lot of himself in Theory, and told him how to get by in the world of professional wrestling.
“My best advice to an incredibly talented person who is incredibly good looking, reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger,” JBL noted, “it’s what I would tell my young self, and that is ‘screw over your friends.’ Make your enemies your friends, that way you can screw them over too. That’s what life is all about, screwing people over and winning. And I think Theory knows all about that, the future for him is very bright.”
Austin Theory won the United States Championship on the April 18 episode of WWE RAW, defeating Finn Balor. He recently defended the title against Cody Rhodes on RAW; check out full results from the show at this link.
