WWE SmackDown viewership increased ahead of WWE WrestleMania Backlash.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 1.998 million viewers watched the show on May 6, and SmackDown scored a 0.46 rating in the 18 to 49 rating.

These numbers are up from last week, when 1.953 million viewers watched the show on Friday, and SmackDown drew a 0.38 rating (490,000 viewers) in the same demographic. Thurston noted that the demographic rating for the May 6 episode was up 22% from the previous week.
This week’s episode was the go-home show for WrestleMania Backlash. Sasha Banks faced Shayna Baszler, The New Day battled Ridge Holland and Sheamus in a Tables Match, and RK-McBro confronted The Bloodline.
