John Cena has some high praise for Austin Theory.
On Saturday night, Austin Theory wished John Cena a happy birthday, adding that he was a better United States Champion than the “Doctor Of Thuganomics.” Theory won the title seven days ago, so he has quite a bit of catching up to do to get close to Cena’s personal best 147-day reign as champion (and 405 days total over five reigns), but Cena still sees something special in the upstart RAW star.
Responding to the birthday greeting, Cena told Theory that he has more talent than he [Cena] ever had, and the only thing he should apologize for is if he fails to turn that potential into a legacy.
Everyone understands that you have far more talent, strength, and gifts than I ever had. Don’t apologize for that. Ever. An apology should come 20 years from now if you fail to provide the EFFORT needed to turn your potential into your legacy. I hope that day never comes. [tumbler glass emoji]

Recently, @WrestleVotes reported “bigger and better things” are in store for Theory, who Vince McMahon happens to see as a “young John Cena”. It was noted that Theory’s push is in full effect and McMahon will “give the kid everything he needs to be successful” in WWE.
Austin Theory spoke with WrestleZone about his mindset in regards to the rest of his wrestling career, in which he used the alphabet to put things in perspective. Theory said he’s enjoying all of the experiences he’s had and will have until he gets to the top of the mountain, and doesn’t want to look past that.
