Asuka is reportedly on her way back to WWE TV, and she’s set to return in a big way.
The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion has been sidelined since July 2021, as she had been dealing with an injury. Her match at WWE Money in the Bank 2021 was the only time she competed in front of a full crowd since March 2020. (WWE WrestleMania 37 was held with a limited capacity.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, there are “immense plans” for Asuka to come back to WWE RAW, possibly as soon as the April 25 episode. Of course, plans often change, especially in WWE, but Ross Sapp wrote that, as of this weekend, the plan calls for her to feud with Becky Lynch, at least in a short-term program.
Ross Sapp also noted that Asuka’s return has been a subject of discussion since January; inquires about her potential involvement in the Royal Rumble didn’t pan out because she wasn’t ready to return to return. He then cited WWE officials who were expecting Asuka to return this Spring.
