Swerve Strickland will challenge for the FTW Championship on the March 25 episode of AEW Rampage.
On the March 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced that Strickland will challenge Ricky Starks for the gold on Friday night. Strickland has been engaged in a brewing rivalry with Starks and Team Taz in recent weeks, as he has helped Keith Lee during his own feud with the group. Swerve made the save on the March 18 episode of Rampage when Team Taz attacked Lee after his match with Max Caster.
Starks has held the title since last July, when he defeated Brian Cage at Fyter Fest Night One.

Plus, Lance Archer will face Dustin Rhodes in a singles bout on Rampage. “The Murderhawk Monster” and Dan Lambert want to rid All Elite Wrestling of the Rhodes once and for all, but “The Natural” will fight for his family’s name.
Archer has been aligned with Lambert, who has had issues with Cody and Brandi Rhodes, for several weeks now. Lambert and Brandi had several controversial promo battles before she left AEW, so he’ll be hoping to see the powerhouse defeat Dustin for some semblance of revenge on Friday. Meanwhile, Dustin will step up and defend his family. In doing so, he’ll try to defy Archer’s motto, “Everybody dies.”

Elsewhere in the show, the broadcast team confirmed that Alan “5” Angels and 10 of Dark Order will face reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.) Nyla Rose will also compete.
