Kevin Owens is preparing for his upcoming showdown with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, and to prepare for that, he tricked the crowd on the March 22 episode of WWE RAW.
To kick off the show, Austin’s music hit, leading the crowd to go crazy. However, Owens came out instead, and he was dressed as “The Texas Rattlesnake”, complete with a full bald cap. He came down to the ring and did a remarkable impression of the WWE legend. Owens talked a bunch of trash about Austin before his iconic theme song played again and the crowd again went wild. But this also turned out to be another fake-out by Owens, who laughed at the crowd for believing that Austin had arrived.
Owens then told a stagehand to hand him some beers before he dropped both cans that were thrown to him. After the crowd laughed at him, an angered Owens then demanded the stagehand get inside the ring and hand him the beers. Owens then promptly hit the Stunner on the stagehand as soon as he got in the ring, ending the segment and setting the stage for a big confrontation at WrestleMania.
