Pat McAfee will finally achieve his WrestleMania dream.
McAfee posted a new promo on Twitter on Friday, speaking about his passion for pro wrestling and how it was a dream of his long before he ever played football.
“It was always my plan if football didn’t work or when football stopped. You can literally ask anybody that’s been around me at any stage of my life,” McAfee explained.
McAfee then showed highlights of his time in WWE and NXT, and closed with a monologue about hoping to inspire others to chase their own dreams.
“There’s something about keeping a promise to yourself. There’s something about chasing a dream,” McAfee said. “At WrestleMania 38, the most stupendous WrestleMania of all-time, I get to live out a dream, but don’t get this shit twisted — I’ve been preparing for this my entire life. I’ve wrestled at WrestleMania in my mind millions of times, and this dream, hopefully, inspires others to have the same damn one.”
Pat McAfee will face off with Austin Theory on night two of WrestleMania 38 on Sunday, April 3.
