Matt and Jeff Hardy have once again reunited as The Hardy Boyz, this time in All Elite Wrestling.
Following AEW Dynamite last night, Matt Hardy sat down with his “Extreme Life” podcast co-host Jon Alba to discuss his brother’s AEW Dynamite debut and what it means in the grand scheme of things. Matt says that Jeff Hardy in All Elite Wrestling will give them the chance to cement their legacy as the greatest tag team in all of space and time.
“It means that it’s time for us to cement our legacy as the greatest tag team in all of space and time,” Matt Hardy said. “And there’s one last major title we need to win. And that is the AEW World Tag Team Titles.”
When asked how much this moment means to Jeff Hardy, Matt says he’s hyped and that it means a lot to both of them.
“He’s hyped; it means a lot,” Matt Hardy said. “It means a lot to both of us to go out as we came in, and especially on a big platform and also show while we are one of the greatest tag teams ever.”
When asked what fans can expect from this iteration of The Hardy Boyz, Matt says to expect a more mature and experienced team than we’ve seen in years past.
“I think you are going to see a very mature experienced, and a Hardy Boyz team that is very hungry to prove they can still go in 2022,” Matt Hardy said.
All Elite Wrestling arguably sports the best collection of tag teams in professional wrestling. When asked who The Hardyz are excited to step into the ring with, Matt admitted that The Young Bucks are at the top of the list but names a few other teams as well.
“The Young Bucks, I would say the Lucha Bros, and we would definitely want a piece of The Jurassic Express of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, especially because currently, they’re the AEW World Tag Team Champions.”
