Edge wants to have a “phenomenal” match at WWE WrestleMania 38.
On the February 21 episode of WWE RAW, the WWE Hall of Famer appeared for the first time since his victory at WWE Royal Rumble, where he and Beth Phoenix defeated The Miz and Maryse. In an intense promo, “The Rated-R Superstar” looked back on his legendary career, which has featured several unforgettable WrestleMania matches. He recalled waging war with Mick Foley, facing The Undertaker, and retiring as the World Heavyweight Champion over the years. The legend described how he worked tirelessly for a decade to get back to WrestleMania, and he reminded everyone that he main-evented the show last year.
“The Ultimate Opportunist” then threw down the gauntlet to anyone who’s willing to step up by saying that he hopes to have another classic match at WrestleMania this year. Nobody answered the call on Monday night, but Edge’s clear reference to AJ Styles when he stated that he wants to be “phenomenal” left many fans predicting that the two stars will ultimately clash at the show. Styles, widely known as “The Phenomenal One” has openly discussed his interest in facing the Hall of Famer for some time now.
