WWE SmackDown viewership dipped on February 4.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 2.151 million viewers watched the show on Friday night, and SmackDown drew a 0.51 rating (667,000 viewers) in the 18 to 49 demographic. These numbers are down from last week, as 2.217 viewers tuned in on January 28, with a 0.56 rating in the same demo.
Thurston noted that coverage of the Winter Olympics opening ceremony dominated television on Friday, and SmackDown drew its lowest total and key demo viewership since the taped Christmas Eve episode.
The Winter Olympics opening ceremony on NBC dominated with a 1.97 P18-49 rating and 10.8 million viewers.
This was the lowest total and 18-49 for Smackdown on Fox since Christmas Eve. The lowest Rampage, in both metrics, since January 14.
