Charlie Haas had a great experience in IMPACT Wrestling.
Former WWE Tag Team Champion and current independent wrestling star Charlie Haas recently spoke with WrestleZone’s own Dominic DeAngelo and delved into his recent debut with IMPACT Wrestling and mentioned how Tommy Dreamer helped make the deal come together.
“I’ve been wrestling for like the last year in SWE, which is based out of Texas and they’re making some noise and making a big impact with the pandemic and all that. In Texas, everything was basically open compared to a lot of other states, Governor Abbott had it open and a lot of people were coming over here to wrestle, so, I think that helped a lot in getting my name back out there. Tommy Dreamer saw me at an indie and he’s there working at IMPACT, and he reached out D’Lo Brown and he said to take a look at Charlie because I guess he’s taken a step back [over there]. So, they brought me in and I didn’t know who I was going to wrestle or what was going to happen, I just knew they were bringing me in.”
Haas suffered a concussion during the match against former IMPACT Wrestling champion Josh Alexander, but Haas mentioned that Tommy Dreamer told him the match came out just fine.
“Right off the bat, they had me with Josh Alexander. So, I’m grateful for them, I’m excited and I’m looking forward to see how the match looks, I did get a concussion during the match but I want to see how the match looked. I was able to finish the match and I knew the beginning came out really good until I got concussed but Josh is the ultimate professional and so is TNA, they’re really great but Tommy said it still looked really solid, so we’ll see.”
Haas was injured during the course of the taping, but he now says that he’s healed and ready to get back on the road for his “Haas Of Pain” tour. Stay tuned for our full interview with Charlie Haas on WrestleZone soon.
