Don West has announced that his cancer has returned, and the renowned broadcaster has revealed that he is already undergoing chemotherapy to treat it.
West confirmed the news on Twitter. Previously, on December 28, Jeff Jarrett — a close and personal friend to West — reported the news with West’s permission. The unfortunate news comes after West had announced in September that his cancer was in remission.
The legendary West is perhaps best known for his work in the wrestling world on commentary for TNA Wrestling alongside Mike Tenay. In his tweet, West also referred to a GoFundMe that is currently up and available to donate to in order to help him pay the many medical bills he’s been facing.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Don West the best and hope he can defeat cancer once again.
Unfortunately my cancer is back and I’m undergoing chemo. Thanks to all that have contributed in the past, and if you’d like to donate the GoFundMe page is “Join The Don West Tag Team Against Lymphoma”. God Bless.
