Deonna Purrazzo bounced back in a big way following her loss to IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Mickie James at the promotion’s Hard To Kill event.
On January 9, one day after the show, during a session of IMPACT Wrestling television tapings, “The Virtuosa” defeated Rok-C in a Title vs. Title match, so she won the ROH Women’s World Championship. Purrazzo, the reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, previously confronted “The Prodigy” at ROH Final Battle: End of an Era and challenged her to this match.
With the victory, “The Virtuosa” became the second woman to hold the title. Rok-C won the gold by emerging victorious in the ROH Women’s World Championship Tournament; she defeated Miranda Alize in the finals at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on September 12, 2021.
