WWE has released so many female superstars over the past year that Dr. Britt Baker, DMD says the need to go through the forbidden door is not as high as it once was.
AEW has been known to collaborate with other companies and develop professional relationships to create matches that fans might not expect. However, one relationship that has never happened has been AEW working with WWE.
As a recent guest on In The Kliq podcast, Baker spoke about the forbidden door relationship never happening and implied it might not be as big of a deal as it used to be.
Baker said, “I mean, obviously one of my best friends and who I think one of the best female wrestlers out there today is Deonna Purrazzo. She wrestles for IMPACT. So I would love to definitely lock up with her one day. Not to kind of turn the tides here but unfortunately, WWE has been releasing so many talents that right now you don’t even have to cross any ‘Forbidden Doors’. There are just so many amazingly talented free agents right now, period. There’s so many that I would love to wrestle I’ve never wrestled before.”
Baker also called new free agent Toni Storm one of the best female talents in the world, saying she’s absolutely phenomenal. Read more about Baker’s comments on the potential matchup at this link.
