With WWE moving most of its content, including major pay-per-views, over to Peacock, viewers are flocking to the subscription service to watch the shows, along with the company’s content library that’s available on the platform
According to a recent report from Puck’s Matthew Belloni, the partnership between Peacock and WWE is turning out to be a successful one, as more than three million Peacock subscribers have watched WWE content since it became available in March. The report also mentions that more than half of those 3 million subscribers indicated that they signed up to Peacock to watch WWE in the first place.
While many thought that switching to Peacock may cause WWE fans to abandon the service, Belloni went on to note that of the 1.1 million subscribers to WWE Network, one million of them ended up successfully converting to Peacock once the merger happened. Clearly, the partnership has been incredibly successful so far, and with a big year up ahead, WWE will likely be looking to improve on those big numbers.
