This weekend, Vickie Guerrero is heading to AAA TripleMania Regia in a very important role.
AAA officially made the announcement last night on social media that Vickie Guerrero would accompany AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR to the ring this weekend against current AEW World Tag Team Champions The Lucha Bros:
“Vickie is her first name, Guerrero her last name. A surname with a lot of history in the 30 years of #LuchaLibreAAA @VickieGuerrero will accompany #FTR @CashWheelerFTR and @DaxFTR in their fight for the AAA Couples Championship in #TriplemaniaRegia,” AAA tweeted out.
The rivalry between FTR and The Lucha Bros has been heating up on AEW television over the last several weeks. FTR defeated The Lucha Bros for the AAA World Tag Team Championships on Dynamite back on October 16.
The Lucha Bros were scheduled to defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against FTR tonight on AEW Rampage in a two out of three falls match, but due to travel issues with Rey Fenix, the match has been changed to a regular tag team match between FTR and the team of Penta El Zero M and PAC.
