New National Openweight Champion Alex Kane aims to cut his own swath and he did so by cutting ties with America Top Team. It was officialy revealed that Kane would no longer be associated with Dan Lambert’s fight group after The Suplex Assassin won the Openweight belt at MLW Fusion on Thanksgiving in a five-man ladder match. Kane was brought into MLW by America Top Team, specifically with King Mo as his added enforcer. Since the latest episode, Kane has been coming out with a much larger individual who viewers later got to learn as “Mr. Thomas.” Details regarding the announcement are below:
MLW.com has learned the newly minted National Openweight Champion has formally severed ties with American Top Team.
While the particulars behind Kane electing to exit his business relationship remain unclear, a source has confirmed that Kane informed Dan Lambert’s fight team on Wednesday November 25th.
Lambert personally brokered Kane’s deal as a part of the MLW 2021 Open Draft.
While speculation about the champion’s next move on a fight camp remains unknown, a source close to the “Suplex Assassin” has confirmed a statement is forthcoming on this coming week’s Fusion: ALPHA.
Kane is currently butting heads with Calvin Tankman after spoiling Heavyweight Hustle’s bid for the 2021 Opera Cup. Kane thwarted Tankman’s efforts earlier in the evening in his semi-finals match against TJP.
