The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) reign supreme as the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions, and they plan to do whatever it takes to continue their hot streak at the Turning Point event on Saturday.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Lee and McKay looked back on the first stretch of their run with IMPACT, which kicked off with a remarkable debut at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. There, The IInspiration won the titles in their first match with the company. McKay explained why this moment was “super special” to the duo and recalled how they put a lot of thought into every aspect of their presentation heading into the show.
“It was such a crazy feeling,” said McKay. “Because not only is Bound For Glory, the biggest show of the year for IMPACT, it was our debut, it was a championship match, and we win in our debut. I mean, it doesn’t get any, you can’t plan, like it happened perfectly to a T. And we put so much hard work into every aspect, I mean that entrance, we would have spoken about that for a couple of hours extensively. Everything from our entrance robes to our gear to the way we wanted to present ourselves, everything we thought about so meticulously, and it came out perfectly in my eyes.
“I’m so proud of that, and that’s a moment that no one can ever take away from us. So it’s super special to us.”
Moving into the present, The IInspiration previewed their bout at IMPACT Turning Point, where they’ll defend their titles against Decay (Havok and Rosemary.) This contest will be a rematch from Bound For Glory, as Lee and McKay defeated Decay to win the gold in the first place. Though the challengers will have their opponents scouted, Lee expressed her confidence that The IInspiration will emerge victorious because they’ll do anything to make sure they win on Saturday.
“I mean, as far as what fans can expect from the match, I would just say it’s the same kind of mentality we had going into Bound For Glory,” said Lee. “[It’s] that we’re willing to do whatever we have to do.
“We’re so passionate about being the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champions, and there’s just nothing we wouldn’t do to defend our titles and bring them home once again.”

IMPACT has been renowned for its Knockout Division for several years, and the talented group of performers has become a defining characteristic of the company. McKay described how she and Lee are proud to work alongside these competitors; she also noted that the duo is having fun because this division is on “another level.”
“The whole roster is just so impressive,” said McKay. “There’s so many talented women. We’re really grateful we can be a part of that locker room.
“We just get to interact with all these incredible women, and they’re only at IMPACT. That’s why IMPACT is so special. The women’s division is just on another level, so it’s a lot of fun.”
