Roman Reigns is down to face The Rock, but the ball is in his court.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appeared on The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon this week to promote Survivor Series this Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. When asked if he would be willing to go one-on-one with The Great One, Reigns said he would, but he didn’t know if The Rock wanted to:
“I would, yes,” Roman Reigns began. “I don’t know if he wants it. But so that’s kind of something that we do in our family as far as sports entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE. This is our platform. This is our family business. I fought one of my cousins in The Usos, Jey Uso, about a year ago, and where better to kind of solve problems than in the squared circle?”
The Tribal Chief would later extend the offer for Jimmy Fallon to appear at next year’s WrestleMania in Dallas; Fallon accepted the offer.
While we wait for this potential dream matchup to happen, The Rock has recently spoken to the media and revealed he’d be open to another match in WWE at some point in the future, but the situation would have to make sense. You can read more about what he said by clicking here.
Roman Reigns will face WWE Champion Big E this Sunday at Survivor Series in a battle for brand supremacy between SmackDown and RAW.
