Vin Diesel wants WWE turned Hollywood star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to return to the Fast And Furious franchise.
The two stars have had a somewhat contentious relationship in the past. “The Great One” previously stated that he won’t come back for another film, but he had a “meeting of clarity” with Diesel, so it’s unclear what the future holds.
Still, in a Instagram post, Diesel asked Johnson to come back because he wants to make the franchise’s finale the best film in the series. He also stated that nobody else can play Hobbs, Johnson’s character in the Fast And Furious universe. Johnson was in Fast 5, Fast & Furious 6, The Fate of the Furious, and the series’ spin-off film, Hobbs & Shaw, but hewas absent from the franchise’s newest outing, F9: The Fast Saga.
The post is as follows:
My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.
