New Japan Pro Wrestling presented another episode of NJPW STRONG on Saturday. This week’s episode was headlined by former-Young Lions Clark Connors & Ren Narita getting an upset victory over TJP and the “real” World Champion Will Ospreay.
Filmed during the NJPW Showdown shows in Philadelphia, the shocking win adds a bit of credibility to Connors & the other LA Dojo wrestlers that have been the target of much of Will Ospreay’s insults. Narita is set to face Ospreay in San Jose on Nov. 13th.

Elsewhere on the card, Juice Robinson got a hard-fought win over El Phantasmo. Phantasmo busted out a series of notable Bullet Club maneuvers, including a Styles Clash, but fell to a Fisherman Driver from the former-IWGP United States Champion.
In the opening contest, Team Filthy got the win over Juice’s tag partner, David Finlay, and a tandem of LA Dojo combatants.
Buddy Matthews (fka Buddy Murphy) also appeared in a video package. This comes just after Kazuchika Okada called out the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion after this morning’s Power Struggle.
