Leon Ruffin, formerly known as WWE Superstar Leon Ruff, will make his GCW debut at the promotion’s “Evil Deeds” event on November 12.
The promotion announced the news in a tweet on Monday.

WWE released Ruff, a former NXT North American Champion, on August 6, less than a year after he officially signed with the company in October 2020. He appeared on WWE as early as December 2019 as an enhancement talent, and he regularly worked in this role before he inked his deal.
At the time of his departure, he commented on the news by thanking his fans. Before his time with WWE, Ruff starred in EVOLVE, where he won the company’s Tag Team Championship with AR Fox.
