The Rock Talks Presidential Run Support

WWE Legend and movie star The Rock has teased the idea numerous times of potentially running for President of the United States and expanded further on that idea in a new Instagram Post.

A survey earlier this year showed that 46% of Americans would support the idea of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson running for United States President.

The Rock said “You know, at the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I don’t know the first thing about policy. I care deeply about our country. I care about every fucking American who bleeds red, and that’s all of them. And—there’s no delusion here—I may have some decent leadership qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make me a great presidential candidate. That’s where I am today.”

Continuing on, he said “Core values matter. Work hard, take care of your family, be kind to people, take pride in your name, take pride in your own two hands, be inclusive and respect EVERYONE and don’t be full of s***. I’m not a politician, but that’s the truth. Thanks Vanity Fair and thanks Chris for chopping this polarizing, yet important subject up with me and our country.”

John Cena In Talks For New Film

John Cena is reportedly in negotiations to be in the action-comedy film, Freelance, according to a new report from Deadline.

The synopsis is as follows: “The project, which is budgeted in the $40 million range, follows a special forces operator (Cena) who decides to retire from the Army and start a family back in the states. After several years of mortgage payments, school drop-offs, backyard barbecues and trying to conform to life in suburbia, he decides to come out of retirement to take a gig providing security for a female journalist as she interviews a cruel dictator who may or may not have ordered the attack on him and his men. When a military coup breaks out in the middle of the interview, the three are forced to escape into the jungle where they must survive the elements, the military and one another.”

The project is slated to begin early next year in Columbia.
