After recently joining the world of IMPACT Wrestling, The IInspiration — Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee — joined SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio and discussed the move to IMPACT.
When asked why IMPACT Wrestling was the best place for them to go, McKay stepped up and explained why it was the right choice for them as a team.
“One hundred percent,” McKay said. “Cass and I, we spoke about this a lot, where the possibilities were where we could end up. It really came down to IMPACT having such an amazing tag team division, first and foremost. That’s what we wanted to do, that’s where we feel like we fit in the best. And when we made this decision to join IMPACT, it just felt right, and after WWE, having that feeling of ‘okay, this feels really good’ was so important for us. We’re super excited to join the locker room, and just be a part of it.”
The IInspiration was then asked about much more emphasis they plan on putting on their tag team work, and more importantly, their in-ring ability. Lee spoke up, noting that their “complete focus” will be on that.
“I mean, that is our complete focus,” Lee said. “We’re going for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. That’s been Jess’ and my dream for as long as I can remember, that’s all we wanted. We want to create this women’s tag team division that is just the best, and honestly I really, really feel like the Knockouts division is up there with the best women’s division across all platforms. And I feel honored to be a part of that, and just to be a part of the tag team division, that means everything to Jess and I.”
