Bobby Fish knocked on the Forbidden Door the same night Sammy Guevara won the AEW TNT Championship, and “The Sexy Spanish God” welcomed him in.
On the Second Anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite, Guevara put his title on the line for the first time against Fish. The match came two months to the day after WWE releases Fish, a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, on August 6.
A few minutes in, using his stiff striking game and the advantage of his veteran expertise, Fish took control of the bout. Guevara rallied with a Spanish Fly, but the challenger regained the upper hand. An avalanche Falcon Arrow earned Fish a two count, but Guevara clinched the win with a GTH out of nowhere.

Guevara didn’t have long to celebrate, as Men of the Year and Dan Lambert’s American Top Team confronted the champion. Scorpio Sky and Junior Dos Santos attacked “The Sexy Spanish God,” and Fuego Del Sol unsuccessfully tried to make the save. American Top Team stood tall, but Chris Jericho and Jake Hager ran in for the late rescue.

Lambert proceeded to run his mouth by insulting Jericho and Philadelphia. He then hyped up American Top Team and challenged Inner Circle to a six-man tag team match next week on AEW Dynamite.
